Dinagat Health Clinic
An identity proposed to the Dinagat Rural Health Clinic located in the Dinagatan Islands, Surigao, the Philippines. The proposed identity is designed with the intent of a simple, functional and ‘emotional’ sign system using familiar semiotics and negative space to create a visually recognizable identity in the community. The main semiotics included in the identity are the recognizable medical cross, a ‘smiling’ emoticon and the letter ‘D’.
The medical cross is a universal and recognizable symbol for healthcare.
This smiling emoticon adds a joyful and friendly attitude, as well as it reflects back to the relentless positivity that Filipinos are known for.
The subtle inclusion of a ‘D’ emphasizes localism by including ‘Dinagat’ in the identity.
